How long does a bar of Simple Scents Australia botanical soaps last?
Longer than you think! The soaps are triple milled in the French tradition and then are triple milled once again for purity and smoothness. A final pass through a double refiner completes the process. This ensures that the scent is there right to the last sliver. The final result is a dense, long lasting bar with a creamy lather that does not quickly dissolve with use like many of the “natural soaps” on the market.

How do Simple Scents Australia botanical soaps differ from bar soaps you buy in the supermarket?
Most commercial soaps are made from tallow ( listed on labels as sodium tallowate), which is processed animal fat. Tallow is not only a much less expensive ingredient than the rich palm, coconut and olive oils that are used to make Simple Scents Australia Botanical Soaps but it is also a harsher soap base. Tallow cleans by stripping your skin right down to and including your natural oils leaving you feeling dry and itchy. To mask the strong scent of tallow either a neutralizing chemical or a large dose of inexpensive fragrant oil must be added to the soap blend. Of even more concern, due to the monetary value of glycerin, many commercial producers extract it during the soap making process for resale to the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries.
